Governor Abbott Appoints Young To Advisory Council On Emergency Medical Services

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Aundrea Young to the Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services for a term set to expire on January 1, 2026. The Council recommends changes to the EMS/Trauma System to ensure that communities receive comprehensive and efficient emergency care.
 
Aundrea Young of Houston is the founder and president of Competitive Choice, Inc. She currently serves on the Executive Women’s Partnership Steering Committee for the Greater Houston Partnership and the Board of the Economic Alliance Houston Port Region, and as a sponsor of the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Additionally, she is a member of the American Leadership Forum (ALF) and Leadership Texas. Young received a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Texas Southern University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston. Additionally, she is an alumna of the Harvard Business School Owner/President Management Program and is currently a Doctor of Philosophy candidate in Critical Infrastructure at Capitol Technology University.
