The Edge and The Lodge to Benefit From First-Class Programming and Operations Excellence

Austin, Texas, March 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Campus Advantage®, a leader in student housing, providing property management, consulting, acquisitions, and development services, today announced the addition of two properties, located in San Marcos, Texas, to its portfolio of managed student housing properties. Located near Texas State University, The Edge and The Lodge bring 1,249 beds to Campus Advantage’s portfolio of managed student housing properties and will leverage the company’s successful management capabilities and services which result in a nearly 97% occupancy rate.

Campus Advantage was chosen to manage these properties due to its community-focused programs and experiences that inspire and equip residents to thrive in all areas of life. This includes the company’s highly regarded Students First® Experience platform, which is designed to ensure that residents who choose to live at Campus Advantage communities have more opportunities to achieve success both now and in the future, and which the owners felt would complement the current residence life programming at both communities.

Built in 1998, The Edge is a 173 unit, 553-bed, garden-style property and is comprised of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans. The pet-friendly property includes a resort-style pool with water volleyball, 24-hour computer center, gaming room, dog park, sand volleyball court, full-size basketball court, 24-hour fitness center, and an outdoor fireplace.

The Lodge, built in 2001, is a 258 unit, 696-bed, pet-friendly property and is comprised of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom floor plans. Amenities of the garden-style, gated community include a resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour state of the art fitness center, onsite nail and hair salon, internet cafe, basketball court, sand volleyball court, game room, picnic and barbecue grilling areas, 24-hour business center, coffee bar, study rooms, and on-site dog park.
