These Arabs Just Took $10 Million for Playing a Video Game

A team with two key Arab players has won The International 7, a Dota 2 tournament with over $24 million at stake.

Team Liquid members Lebanese gamer Maroun “GH” Merhej and Jordanian Amer Al-Barkawi took home a whopping $10,834,200 from a Dota 2 tournament. Joining them are Lasse Urpalainen (from Finland), Ivan Borislavov Ivanov (Bulgaria), and Kuro Salehi Takhasomi (Germany).

Dota 2 is a popular (and free!) video game developed by Valve Software.
