Majid Al Futtaim—the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia, has announced it will host the number one online game in the GCC, EA Sports FIFA 17 live on PlayStation 4, exclusively at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif during Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS). The gaming challenge is in line with Majid Al Futtaim’s strategy to introduce worldwide trending concepts such as e-gaming in its flagship destinations.

Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif will host live tournaments, starting on 16 July, accommodating a total of 512 players per day each vying to take the top spot and win the grand cash prize of AED50000 in the 1 v 1 game. The runner up in the 1 v 1 competition will win AED15,000, while in the 2 v 2 competitions 1^st place will take home AED4,000 and 2^nd place will take 1,000AED. Unlike any time before players can compete with a friend and share a great experience together.

FIFA 17 competitions will take place during the weekends, on Friday and Saturday, at each mall and the final qualifiers will be held on 6 and 7 August at City Centre Mirdif. During the weekends players can battle it out to win some incredible prizes. The Top 10 Players, the winning pair of 2 v 2 and Top 8 players of 1 v 1 will each win a Football Jersey. The Top Goal Scorer in 1 v 1 will walk away with a PlayStation Pro Gift Pack every week.

During the weekdays, the malls will host fun challenges to test your skills and prepare for the headline competition on the weekend. Players can compete in the 100 Fastest Goals Challenge to win FIFA Ultimate Team Codes.

Mall of the Emirates from 16 – 22 July

City Centre Deira from 23 – 29 July

City Centre Mirdif from 30 July – 5 August

The final qualifying games will be held at City Centre Mirdif on 6 and 7 of August

How can you play?

• Shop for AED300 in any of the mall’s retailers to participate
• Redeem your receipt at the mall’s Customer Service desks to receive game tokens
• Your token will guarantee one chance to play during the weekday and one time during the main competition during the weekend
• If you are interested to play more than once simply spend AED 300
• Maximum 4 tokens per day per customer
• The competition is open to all players 12 years old and above who are a legal National, Resident or a Tourist in Dubai. 

How can you register?

• Online pre - registration is required to participate in the main competitions (during the weekend)
• Onsite registration will take place for all the participants during the weekdays for the fun challenges. No pre-registration is required for the fun challenges during the weekdays
