QUINCY (WGEM) -The best of the best made their way to the John Wood hardwood for the annual Illinois vs Missouri All-Star Game.

Illini West’s Regan Reed won MVP for Illinois and Palmyra’s Clare Williams won MVP for Missouri.

Team Illinois took down Missouri 88-65.

“It was so much fun playing with these girls again,” said QND Alum Sage Stratton. “I played with the starting five, we all played together at AAU, so it’s really fun to play together one last time and to be able to be a player for Coach Long and Coach Orne. Those two together, that’s a lot of smarts right there, so it was really fun playing for them and just being able to play for them one last time.”

It was a close game for the boy’s All-Star matchup.

Quincy High’s Keshaun Thomas won MVP after dropping 24 points for team Illinois.

Marion County’s Joey Lagemann put up 21 points securing MVP for team Missouri.

Team Illinois edged out Missouri 89-82.

“Glad I got to play with the group of guys that I played with, they made it really enjoyable. Practice, the game, we just had a great time. I played with a few of them in AAU and against some of them my whole high school career so just getting to be on the same team as them is a blessing,” said Canton Alum Preston Brewer.
