Peru's President holds talks with Vietnam's Prime Minister in France

As part of her working trip to France, Peruvian President Dina Boluarte spoke with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to continue strengthening cooperation ties between both countries.

"The Vietnamese leader reiterated his invitation to the President to visit the Southeast Asian country," the Presidential Office reported on social media.

He also committed to opening a resident embassy in Lima this year, as well as to promoting natural gas expansion and telecommunications projects in the Amazon and remote areas of Peru.

"Peru is committed to dialogue and cooperation with Asia, looking to the future with determination," the Presidential Office stated.

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer accompanied President Boluarte during this meeting.
