Over the last three weeks, the Wiwi Jury – our in-house team of music unprofessionals – have been reviewing and rating the 37 competing songs in Eurovision 2025. Having travelled across the globe to each participating country, we now have the final results of our team’s ranking.

When taking an average score across 17 jurors from different countries and with different music tastes, it’s often hard to earn a high result. However, one act in particular has managed to win over our jurors.

We’re now pleased to reveal that the Wiwi Jury’s top entry of Eurovision 2025 is Finland’s Erika Vikman with “ICH KOMME”.

Erika Vikman wins the 2025 Wiwi Jury with “ICH KOMME”

With 70% of our jurors scoring “ICH KOMME” an 8 or higher, along with a smattering of perfect 10s, Erika Vikman was able to secure victory in our ranking.

wiwiblogger Tom was one of the many enthusiastic jurors who got behind the Finnish star. He noted in his review:

My winner for Eurovision 2025. I still remember the first time I heard “ICH KOMME” — I was transfixed, confused, and was ready to do whatever Erika Vikman told me to do. It is an intoxicating song, full of surprises, brilliant vocals, an irresistible beat, sex appeal and thrust! It has a similarly satisfying ‘climax’ as “SHUM” had back in 2021. But this time, I feel like I have joined a cult, drank the Kool-Aid, and I am ready to run through whatever brick wall Ms Vikman asks me to. I am ready to go to Finland in 2026.

After dropping the lowest and (one of) the highest scores, Erika Vikman earned an overall average score of 8.57 from the Wiwi Jury.

Second place goes to Albania’s Shkodra Elektronike. Their fiery song “Zjerm” was another big hit with the jury, earning an average score of 8.40.

Our Pablo was one of three jurors to award the duo a perfect 10, saying:

Albania has struck gold. “Zjerm” plays into an Eastern European mass-appealing comfort zone that others like Ukraine have mastered, but they’ve done so in such a unique, arresting way. This song is all about the dichotomy of darkness and light. Lyrically dour and hopeful, musically subdued and present. A yin-yang with so many moving parts functioning like clockwork, and rife with creative decisions that may leave you puzzled, but will keep you engaged. This deserves to be the best Albanian placement yet, and I can’t wait to see it on its maximum expression. Kolë, Beatriçe. Sublime work.

Only two other acts managed to earn an average score of above 8. They were Sweden’s KAJ, receiving 8.27, and Malta’s Miriana Conte, with 8.17.

Highest Wiwi Jury scores 2012-2025

Comparing scores between the Wiwi Jury results of past contests is not completely accurate since the number of jurors and their identities continuously vary between years. But it’s interesting to examine nonetheless.

The highest scores since the Wiwi Jury’s inception in 2012 are as follows:

  1. Sweden 2023: Loreen with “Tattoo” (9.31)
  2. Sweden 2012: Loreen with “Euphoria” (9.25)
  3. Netherlands 2019: Duncan Laurence – “Arcade” (9.15)
  4. Finland 2023: Käärijä – “Cha Cha Cha” (8.97)
  5. Italy 2017: Francesco Gabbani – “Occidentali’s Karma” (8.96)
  6. Sweden 2022: Cornelia Jakobs – “Hold Me Closer” (8.94)
  7. Spain 2022: Chanel – “SloMo” (8.91)
  8. Switzerland 2024: Nemo – “The Code” (8.83)
  9. Italy 2019: Mahmood – “Soldi” (8.80)
  10. Switzerland 2021: Gjon’s Tears – “Tout l’univers” (8.77)

It’s important to note that the Wiwi Jury is not, and has never been, designed to be an objective prediction. Rather, it’s a way for us to share our personal pre-contest favourites with y’all.

We’ve enjoyed reading many of your own reviews over the past few weeks and finding out how your personal rankings differ from our list.

Opinions will no doubt change once rehearsals start and we get to see exactly what each act will be bringing to the Eurovision 2025 stage in Basel.

What do you make of the Wiwi Jury 2025 results? Do you agree? How different is your own ranking of this year’s songs? Let us know in the comments below.

IMHO Finland is too much about sex, so the general public probably won’t go for this one. And, personally, I don’t think this kind of lyrics should be part of a tv show that is aimed at each and everyone. I wouldn’t like to have to explain my kids what she is singing about. And I think a lot of televoters will think the same way.

For me the hardest part was explaining to my kids what is “trance”.

The song is fantastic. I had chills the first time I watched the video. I don’t care if it wins or how the live performance will be. It’s brilliant. The concept, vibe, the music. I sometimes think what the heck the composers had in mind when composing this song. It’s “sick”. Well done, Finland! If it wins, I will be thrilled. If not, the same.

I recently watched a factual video that reviewed a thesis on why women in Finland were not enjoying sex as much in the current generation. I’d like to think the concept of this song came from that (pardon the pun), but it could also just be a coincidence. The song definitely has an air of “remember those old VHS tapes you had in the 1990s that were not legal back then, let’s play a bit of that.” Erika Vikman is definitely the embodiment of liberation in that regard for the current generation, so the song is perfect for her. As… Read more »

It’s absolutely deserved. Ich Komme is such a great track and the staging has so good and smart concept. Would love to see Finland win.

I still do not understand the hype. I really liked Cicciolina, but Ich Komme is a bit of a downgrade imo. While it has parts that I find quite catchy, it’s also a bit tacky. Same with Malta, though Finland is progressively better.

Great work from Jonathan and the wiwibloggs team, but I don’t think Finland or Sweden will do it this year. Televoters don’t go for titillation (as the UK and Spain found out last year), while I just think it’s too soon after Loreen and Malmö for enough jurors and televoters to want another Swedish win. But I’m still rooting for Serbia, so what do I know?

Serbia’s song is outdated and the singer’s pedof.. allegations make him very questionable singer to root for.

As soon as it started, I can’t believe the wiwijury is already over. Time really went by very fast didn’t it? Speaking of time, I just learned that the UK spokesperson will be Ncuti Gatwa, The Doctor! Ever since I learned there was going to be a Eurovision themed Doctor Who episode, I had a feeling and was hoping that he would be the spokesperson for the UK because otherwise it would be a missed opportunity, and I am glad they are taking it! May 17 is going to be a very busy but happy day for this whovian and… Read more »

Yes, it will be a big day. The FA Cup final might squeeze Doctor Who out of the schedule that day, but the iPlayer will still show the episode anyhow on the same day as Eurovision, and Ncuti will be there to announce the 12 points. It’s like it was all planned. (Yeah, it was.)
I’m actually surprised this crossover hasn’t happened sooner considering that both are cultural icons of a certain demographic.

I could be wrong, but I think the current Doctor is the very first to wholeheartedly embrace that certain demographic?

Yay, exciting… I’m not a Whovian on the same level as you, but I’ve been getting into it over the last couple of years! Of all the Doctors, Ncuti Gatwa seems the most ideal one to be spokesperson. Such a shame the role as been whittled down to about five seconds! Blink and you’ll miss him.

This is fantastic, thank you Wiwi Jury. Its been so sad to see how much negative commenting Erika’s had to face here in Finland, even with our president openly giving his support to the other Finnish act, KAJ, even though they’re representing Sweden in Eurovision. I’m a fan of KAJ, too, and wish nothing but the best for them, but still… Erika is our girl and I’m behind her 100%. And not out of duty, but I honestly think this together with Käärijä are the best acts we’ve ever sent to Eurovision and she deserves to win.
