No, this is not a dream. “Black Mirror" is back.
A new season of “Black Mirror” season was announced in September. Now, Netflix is sharing more details about the series’ seventh season, including a release date and a first-look trailer.
While the details of the episodes are still unknown besides subtle clues from the trailer, series creator Charlie Brooker stated to Netflix’s publication Tudum that the new season is “a little bit OG ‘Black Mirror.’”
“Black Mirror” began airing on the British channel Channel 4 in 2011. Brooker said the new season is a throwback to those early episodes.
“It’s back to basics in many ways,” he said. “They’re all sci-fi stories, but there’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There’s definitely some disturbing content in it.”

The new trailer revealed little information, it appears that artificial intelligence will be a heavy theme. The rest of the bone-chilling stories are yet to be revealed.
When does 'Black Mirror' return for Season 7?
"Black Mirror" premieres on Netflix on April 10.
How many episodes are in Season 7?
The seventh season will feature six brand-new episodes, including a sequel episode to the classic "USS Callister" episode from the show's fourth season.
“You can expect a mix of genres and styles,” series creator Charlie Brooker said previously when speaking during Netflix’s Geeked Week. “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”
The callback episode stems from “USS Callister,” which follows a programmer named Robert Daly (played by Jesse Plemons) who creates a simulated reality within a “Star Trek” like video game, putting himself in the captain seat with his crew stemming from his actual co-workers (including actress Cristin Milioti).
This will be the first time the show does a sequel episode.
“Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, and I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human,” Brooker said during Geeked Week.
