Fortnite searches are up by 834% on Pornhub thanks to Drake
- Pornhub says Fortnite searches have been growing since September 2017
- Searches for the popular game skyrocketed in March after Drake's Twitch game
- The US was the sixth most likely country to search for Fortnite on Pornhub
Fortnite, the cross-platform shooter game, has gone from strength-to-strength in March 2018, what with Drake and Travis Scott playing it on Twitch and then the game debuting on iOS, and now its success is even noticeable on Pornhub.
Pornhub Insights said that after a slow start, Fortnite searches on Pornhub ‘steadily gained ground over the last several months to become one of our top video game related search terms’.
Fortnite launched in July 2017 and got a 'handful of searches' at first, only rising in September
Fortnite searches on Pornhub skyrocket
The game launched in July 2017 and only got a ‘handful of searches,’ only gaining traction at the end of September 2017 when it launched its hugely popular Fortnite: Battle Royale.
‘Spikes in search volume seem to coincide with major game updates and news cycles such as the 1.36 patch in January and when 60 FPS was enabled in February,’ Pornhub Insights said.
However, Fortnite’s biggest spike on Pornhub came on March 15. This was, according to Pornhub, all down to Drake playing the game live on Twitch.
In the middle of the night on March 15, 2018 Drake tweeted that he was ‘playing fort nite with @ninja’ and linked to Ninja’s Twitch channel and subsequently 600,000 people tuned in to watch the live-stream - a new record for Twitch.
Now Pornhub said that day Fortnite searches on Pornhub jumped by 824 percent.

Most popular Fortnite Pornhub search terms
Pornhub says the most popular Fortnite-related searches included words such as ‘hentai’, ‘battle royale’, ‘animation’ and ‘strip’.
The adult video-streaming company also noticed a general game trend forming when people searched for Fortnite.
‘By looking at what users typically search before or after searching Fortnite, we can start to see a game related trend develop.’

The company said that common searches during the same session included game names such as Overwatch, Team Fortress and the search term ‘video game’.
Other games being searched for included Minecraft, Pokemon and 'Rainbow Six Seige [sic]'.
Following Fortnite’s launch on Apple’s iOS devices, Pornhub says Fortnite-based searches are 77 percent more likely to come from Apple users than Android.
Fortnite Pornhub searches in US States
Kansas appears to be the US State ‘proportionately the most likely to search for Fortnite, followed by those from South Dakota, Rhode Island, Connecticut and California’.
According to Pornhub Insights, the game is least popular in Washington DC, Mississipi, Hawaii, Vermont and both Carolinas.
Fortnite searches worldwide
Across the globe, Finland looks to be the country proportionately most likely to be searching for Fortnite, followed by France, Ireland, Norway and Denmark. The US comes in sixth and the UK 16th.
