Microsoft made the announcement at their Gamescom 2017 event, revealing seven new games which will drop on the service between August 29 and September 1, including 'Fable II' and 'Garou: Mark of the Wolves'.

But it is not yet known which games will drop on which dates.

The three titles which complete the seven are 'ReCore: Definitive Edition', 10 Second Ninja X' and 'The Bridge'.

Game Pass has been likened to a "Netflix for games" in that it is a subscription service which enables players to play backwards-compatible Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles for the price of $10 a month.

What's more, the service will be made available in a further eight areas from September 1, including Brazil and Argentina.

Gamers in South Africa, Turkey, Slovakia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and UAE will also be pleased to note they can join Game Pass from early next month.

Other recently added games are 'Metal Slug XX', 'DiRT Rally', 'Pharonic', 'So Many Me' and 'Resident Evil 6'.

The official Xbox website states: "Play games across multiple genres, from action/adventure and family favourites to shooters, sport, puzzle games and more.

"And with new titles added every month, you'll always have a wide selection of great games to choose from.

"Download games directly to your console and play online or offline in full-fidelity, without any streaming or connectivity issues. Whether it's a new story to immerse yourself in or an old journey you're eager to revisit, experience your games as they were intended."
